6 x 12 acrylic on canvas, silk finish.
This painting is inspired by a trip to Iceland I took with my now husband in 2015. While driving along the eastern coast we had to go up into the mountains before descending back to the southern coast. The drive was covered in fog, but as we descended, it felt as though we were moving through the clouds while the landscape slowly appeared
This piece explores a light quick brushstroke. Frustrated with recent attempts to capture high detail, naturalistic landscapes, in this piece I step back to focused on the form and flow of the terrain.
